The not-so-highly-anticipated rematch between Biden and Trump got much closer on Tuesday night as they both dominated most states voting in the Super Tuesday primaries. The political world was rocked Wednesday afternoon as longtime Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell announced he would be leaving his leadership position at the end of the year - ending a record breaking tenure for the Senator. A rock of the Senate for many decades, the stepping down of McConnell will create a massive power vacuum, as the GOP struggles with new winds within its party. On today's Flyover Country; Scott, Joe and Courtney reflect on the many years of leadership from McConnell, and though he has 2 years left (at least) in DC, discuss the things that will be changing. Welcome to the party of Trump. Despite big spending from Haley and DeSantis, Donald Trump cruised to an easy victory on Monday in the Iowa Caucuses, garnering more than 50% of the vote, and winning all but one county. Of course, Haley and DeSantis have both claimed victory in their own way, but the GOP appears set on nominating Trump to take on Biden once again.
